Reedy Fork Baptist Church has been a lighthouse in the Browns Summit community for nearly 65 years. From their
humble beginnings nearly a century ago to what God has blessed them with today, is truly amazing.
God is blessing in many tremendous ways
and now is a great time to visit with us. God has given us many ministries to
oversee including our children’s ministry which involves our Nursery program, Children’s church, and Master’s clubs which is our Wednesday night bible study. We
also have a student ministry geared toward our teen aged youth. Our youth
ministry meets three times a week with Sunday school, discipleship training,
and Restoration. Although we stay focused and mission minded, there
is always room for activities and fellowship.
Music is also
a very big part of our ministry at Reedy Fork. From first ring of the hand bells
to the last note of the choir, we are very thankful that God has added his blessing to the music ministry.
Our men are involved in the Brotherhood which keeps them
busy doing various odd jobs including a monthly breakfast. Our WMU are also very
busy working and organizing in the area of missions. Every Wednesday afternoon in February,
you will find the WMU ladies in the church fellowship hall making meals for the church and the proceeds goes toward the Annie
Armstrong Easter Offering.
The Senior Saints at Reedy Fork are also a real blessing to us. From time to time, you will see our vans leaving
the church parking lot heading to a favorite restaurant or a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
It is a wonderful time of fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ.
